Cushion covers provide a wonderful lift to your home décor whether it's cushions for your sofa or scatter cushions in the garden. Workshops run for 3 hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 11 am and 2 pm.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY:
What you will learn: How to correctly measure a cushion pad - Marking of fabric and cutting - Cutting bias binding for piping - Applying piping - Inserting a zip - Be introduced to the variety of sewing machine feet that make the job easier!
All materials included.
Level: This workshop is best suited to a confident beginner as it requires basic sewing machine skills including being comfortable in sewing straight lines. However, no experience with zips or piping is needed.
Cost: £60 (teaching and kit excluding optional sewing machine hire).
You are advised to bring a sewing machine that you are familiar with along with the appropriate feet i.e. binding foot, piping foot and a standard foot. If you are unable to bring a sewing machine and would like to make use of a sewing machine on site there is an extra fee of £5 to cover the hire fee. Kindly notify me as soon as possible if you require use of a sewing machine.

Food and drink: You will have full use of the shared kitchen area and facilities including tea and coffee. This also includes use of the fridge and microwave. Kindly bring your own food as eating establishments in the immediate area are limited.
