I will never forget the images of garment workers facing enormous risk of death or serious physical injury as the Rana Plaza Building collapsed underneath them in 2013. Then, I was working as a barrister but I remember saying to myself that if I was to ever run a fashion brand, I would never put profit before people and the planet.
I'm Adaku, owner and founder of Dovetailed London, a clothing brand that is on a mission to inspire women to add colour to their wardrobes. Yet we are so much more than a fashion brand.
Whether it is adding colour to grey, manufacturing in Africa or encouraging customers to vote with their pockets for the sort of world in which they want to live, I am inspired to build a 'good life' business that puts people and the planet over profits one dress at a time.
