*SEW THE MEGHAN DRESS WORKSHOP*

This project is an intermediate make bringing together techniques for making bias binding and sewing an invisible zip.  The workshop runs over two days for 5 hours per day on a Tuesday and a Wednesday between 11 am and 4 pm

What you will learn: How to cut your fabric - Pattern placement - Transfer pattern markings - Sew Darts - Cut on the bias, make binding and attach binding - Make and attach patch pockets.

All materials included: fabric, thread, and pattern.

Level: This workshop is best suited to a very confident beginner as it requires more than the basic sewing machine skills including being comfortable in sewing straight lines.

Cost: £90 (teaching and materials excluding optional sewing machine hire* (£5 per day*)).

You are advised to bring a sewing machine that you are familiar with along with the appropriate foot i.e. an invisible zip foot and a standard foot. If you are unable to bring a sewing machine and would like to make use of a sewing machine on site there is an extra fee of £5 per day to cover the hire fee. Kindly notify me as soon as possible if you require use of a sewing machine.

Maximum class size: 6.

Location: 397 - 411 Westferry Road, London, E14 3AE

Food and drink: You will have full use of the shared kitchen area and facilities including tea and coffee. This also includes use of the fridge and microwave. Kindly bring your own food as eating establishments in the immediate area are limited.
